I decided to make lots more music this year. I often make little ditties between bigger projects but those little jams usually sit around waiting to become something more refined. I decided that anytime I make a musical sketch I start a 7 day timer. When that timer goes off I have to upload the track to Soundcloud. Some of those may become other songs but most will not. This is the first track of the year, I hope you like it.

This a pretty weird Max for Live patch that Tyondai Braxton requested. It’s a little hard to explain but I’ll give it a shot. It allows him to specify up to 12 notes that can be sent out once for every x number of times the patch receives either that note or any note. Note lengths are based on the note that triggers the note on message. He can specify a note that, when received, brings the count of each slot back to 1. He can also specify a note that, when received, sets the specified note of each slot up one half step and will send them down an octave once 12 of them are received.

Peptalk will be playing it’s first show with the amazing Angelica Negron! Peptalk has performed a few times as a duo but this will be the first of many shows with Angelica on vocals, accordion, synth and percussion. Come out to Brooklyn tomorrow night at 8pm.
